Cultural
commitment
Born in Buenos
Aires, Argentina, Maria Martha Pichel was taught by some of the
greatest artists in Latin America, like Hermenegildo Sabat, Raul
Mazzoni, Pablo Edelstein, Walter Gavito, Santiago Cogorno und
C. Herzberg.
She received
great appreciation from critics around the world for her works
that she presented at numerous art exhibitions in Berlin, Hamburg,
and Bremen, as well as in Paris, France and Corsica; in New York
and Washington, USA; in Amsterdam and Breda in Holland and in
Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Having an irresistible liaison of ardent temperament and softness
at the same time, Maria Martha Pichel conjures a world –
charged with erotic allusions and mythic severity. Every artwork
creates an atmosphere filled with feminine desire and yearning
of intimacy and loss.

Selected artworks of Maria Martha Pichel are showcased at our
offices and are available for tours. During the months of May
to June 1997 Maria Martha Pichel had an art exhibit at the Belenky
Gallery in New York. The exhibition “Las mujeres”
(“Women”) showed paintings and drawings of women from
unique perspectives.
